Today I’m presenting a 1/48 scale Revell Rafale M.
La maquette est connue avec quelques difficultés de montage au niveau du puits de train avant et à la jonction des demi fuselages à l’avant mais rien d’insurmontable.
This kit is known for having a few assembly challenges—specifically around the nose landing gear
bay and the forward fuselage join—but nothing insurmountable.J’ai utilisé le kit d’amélioration de BAM Models qui permet de corriger certains points au niveau de la
structure ainsi que des entrées d’air et un cockpit Reskit qui apportent vraiment un plus. Les entrées
d’air d’origine débouchent sur….rien.
I used an upgrade set from BAM Models to correct certain structural details and the air intakes, along
with a Reskit cockpit that really adds a lot of value; the kit’s original air intakes open into... nothing.
J’ai aussi utilisé des décalques Syhart qui sont très fins
I also used Syhart decals, which are very thin.

Je m’y suis repris à plusieurs fois pour la peinture car j’ai trouvé mes premiers essais trop sombres, je ne suis toujours pas complètement convaincu mais bon, cela restera comme ça.
I had to redo the paintwork several times because my initial attempts looked too dark; I’m still not
entirely convinced by the result, but I’m going to leave it as is.
Par contre je me suis rendu compte au final que les MICA n’étaient pas de la bonne teinte… Il faudra
que je les change quand je préparerai ceux pour mon prochain Rafale.
However, I realized at the very end that the MICA missiles weren't the right shade... I’ll have to swap them out when I prep the ones for my next Rafale.
Je vais maintenant m’attaquer à un petit socle avec un bout de porte-avions.
Now I’m going to start working on a small display base featuring a section of an aircraft carrier deck.
Par contre je me suis rendu compte au final que les MICA n’étaient pas de la bonne teinte… Il faudra
que je les change quand je préparerai ceux pour mon prochain Rafale.
