Le Gloster Gladiator est un des derniers chasseurs biplans. Il a servi au combat au-dessus de la France, de l’Egypte, Malte… En particulier, il a affronté les biplans italiens Fiat CR-42.
The Gloster Gladiator is one of the last biplane fighters produced. It was used in combat over France, Egypt, Malta... and it faught the italian CR-42 biplanes.
ICM a produit un kit au 1/32 de toute beauté. Le moulage et l’assemblage sont excellents. Les détails sont très corrects. Il faudra tout de même ajouter le harnais du pilote, et les haubans !
ICM has produced a beautiful 1/32 scale kit. Injection and assembly are excellent. The details are very nice. You will still have to add the pilot harness and the rigging !
Tout est bien conçu et le haubanage est la seule complexité au programme. Donc, si vous cherchez un premier biplan à attaquer, vous pouvez très bien viser celui-là.
Everything is well designed and the rigging is the only complexity. So, if you are looking for your first biplane, you might as well choose this one.
J’ai choisi une des décos de la boîte : un appareil déployé en Egypte, au ventre blanc et noir caractéristique de l’époque.
La patine joue sur l’empoussiérage, caractéristique d’un pays sablonneux, voire désertique.
I chose one of the decal options from the box: an aircraft deployed in Egypt, with a black and white belly characteristic of the time.
I went for a dusty patina, to represent a sandy country.
